Exciting news! Canada's central bank cut rates from 4.75% to 4.5%, making it the first in the Group of Seven to lower rates. We'll see if other countries, including the U.S., follow suit. This move could influence inflation in Canada, potentially affecting Fed rate decisions.
Interesting Story - Nvidia
Nvidia has surpassed Apple to become the second-largest U.S. company, just behind Microsoft. Known for designing computer graphics processors used in gaming and data centers, Nvidia has seen a tremendous boost this year due to its chips' advantages in AI applications.
Financial Planning Tip- Should I invest in Nvidia?
Nvidia's rise to the top has garnered much attention, but it still needs to be a sure bet for investment. Their valuation has doubled in six months, raising high expectations. If Nvidia doesn't meet these expectations, its value could drop. We include Nvidia in our portfolios to capture their upside, but in small amounts to stay diversified. While Nvidia has great potential, especially in AI, relying too much on one company can be risky for retirement. Diversification is key!
